PITTRICE GEOMETRICA
MILENA RIGOLLI – the painter
Born in Fiorenzuola d’Arda, Italy in 1963, an area where Giuseppe Verdi, Luigi Illica and Antonio Stradivari were born to the world of creativity, and Leonardo Da Vinci collected fossils from nearby Castell’Arquato,
Not yet 10 years of age, through visits to her uncle Danilo Crovetti, a painter living in Florence, she had her first insight into the world of art. Crovetti painted figurative landscapes.
Milena lives a few kilometres from her birthplace, in Terenza on the Appennino Emiliano hills , amongst the Gutturnio and Ortrugo vineyards. Her house, many generations occupied by a family member,
stands near the family vineyard.
